Product Description

Product Description

A cable branch box is a piece of equipment used for tapping, branching, splicing, and switching circuits in cable lines, and it is mostly used outdoors. This equipment has not been in use for long in China, and professionals in the industry as well as power system operation departments still have varying understandings and perceptions of it. In particular, there are differing views on European-style and American-style plug-in devices introduced from abroad. Below is a brief introduction and discussion of the key technical aspects of cable branch boxes, which can serve as a reference for power design and operation departments.

Types of Cable Branch Boxes
Cable branch boxes can be categorized into two main types based on their electrical composition:

1. Basic Cable Branch Boxes
This type does not include any switching equipment. The box contains only accessories for processing and connecting cable ends. Its structure is relatively simple, the size is compact, and its functions are limited, which is why it is often referred to as an ordinary branch box.

2. Advanced Cable Branch Boxes with Switching Equipment
This type not only includes the accessories found in basic branch boxes but also features one or more switching devices inside the box. It has a more complex structure, larger size, additional connection components, and requires a higher level of manufacturing technology. Consequently, it is more expensive to produce.
