Epoxy glass I-beam braces are mainly composed of alkali-free glass fiber and epoxy resin. By impregnating glass fiber in epoxy resin and then molding it through heating and curing processes, an I-shaped structural component with high strength and excellent insulation properties is formed.
-Material characteristics
Insulating stay features:
1. High mechanical strength. Pultruded products use unidirectional fibers with a content of up to 70% as reinforcing materials, so they have high tensile, bending and compressive strength.
2. Excellent electrical insulation. Because the air gap of pultruded products is very small, their electrical insulation properties are excellent.
3. The size is accurate and stable. Pultruded products have a thermal expansion coefficient lower than most plastics and lower than steel and do not absorb moisture, making them dimensionally stable.
4. Resistant to chemical corrosion. The body of the pultruded product is made of inorganic fibers, and the adhesive used - unsaturated polyester or epoxy resin - has excellent chemical corrosion resistance, so the pultruded product is also an excellent chemical resistance material.
5. The application process is good and the scope of application is wide. Customers can freely design the cross-sectional size. It can be molded in one step according to user requirements. Products with different cross-sectional shapes and different length requirements are accurate in size and have very small tolerances.
