Product Description
A fuse is an electrical component used for circuit protection. Its main function is to cut off the circuit by fusing itself when the circuit is overloaded or short-circuited, thereby protecting the safety of other electrical equipment and lines in the circuit.
Product structure and principle
Structural composition
Fuses usually consist of melt, shell, end cap and indicator. The melt is the core component of the fuse and is generally made of metal materials with low melting points (such as lead, tin, zinc and their alloys). When the current is too large, the melt heats up quickly and fuses. The shell is used to protect the melt and is usually made of insulating materials such as ceramic, glass or plastic. The end cap is used to connect the circuit, and the indicator shows whether the fuse has blown.
Application scenarios
1.power system
In power plants, substations and transmission lines, fuses are used to protect transformers, switchgear, cables and other equipment from overload and short-circuit faults.
2.industrial equipment
In industrial production, various motors, electrical equipment and control systems require fuses for circuit protection to ensure normal operation of the equipment.
